The Mine Vegetation Rehabilitation Assessment Tool (MVRAT) has been designed to ensure you and your team can monitor your mine and keep it's health up to set benchmarks.

How it Works

The MVRAT has been designed to account for all important mine rehabilitation elements. This includes aspects such as elevation, soil depth, root depth, latitude and water depth, just to name a few. After collating statistics for your mine out in the field, simply load the data into the application for processing. Our MVP is focused around our client's use and it will be a basic website with the option to upload files. Text entry for location recording. Government themed web template. 2 webpages, file upload and PDF report generation. PDF report should include a minimum of graphs and basic descriptions based on data that is uploaded. To test the product hypothesis with minimal resources, we will conduct user testing with the client’s office and mine officers which the product is catered for. A combination of surveys and focus groups may be used to measure feedback and usability. A smoke test page website can be created which describes the product and request the visitor to sign up to a mailing list. Quick iterations by changing the product or feature description and measuring the signup conversion rate can provide vast accelerating learning about what our users are interested in.

Application Features

The proposed web application’s main purpose is to provide the client and associated mine officers with a front end platform wherefrom they can interact with; make use of; and gain information form the existing two-tiered methodology of the Bio conditional assessment and the growth projection model. For this the application includes the following features : multiple and drag and drop file upload; data vs benchmark analysis; interactive graphs and summaries; generation of a comprehensive analytical PDF report; Data upload and report purging after user has completed their tasks; and monitoring of site statistics.

Interactive Graphs

Graphs, growth projections and summaries are derived from the results of comparisons of uploaded data and the benchmark. These serve as visual representations of the above and provide a breakdown of the results along specific details pertaining to site’s condition. This feature also integrates functionality which enables the user to interact with the graphs with through actions like hover and zoom. This makes it easier for users to understand the information presented to them and carry out an in depth analysis. The graphs and interactivity are implemented via JavaScript.
